The Vigeland Sculpture Park is for many THE PLACE in Oslo. It is Norway’s most visited attraction with more than 1 million visitors every year. Gustav Vigeland who created the park was inspired travelling Europe to create a statue park back home in Norway. As he returned to Norway he started to work and today you can see the result in the Vigeland Sculpture Park.
Someone once commented that the statues are all naked. A guide once commented that the fact that they are all naked only shows the beauty of the statues and the intelligence of Gustav Vigeland, because in that way there are no class differences, no rich, no poor – only people portrayed in many special positions.
